The Charlotte County Clerk’s office spread holiday cheer by buying toys for children and donating to the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic.
Staff members and Clerk of the Circuit Court Roger Eaton picked a child’s name from a tree, then went out and bought gifts that were on the child’s “Santa” wish list.
Fifty-six children in the Guardian Ad Litem program will each receive some three to four toys, said a spokesperson.
“Providing holiday cheer to Charlotte County families in need will be an annual tradition in the clerk’s office for as long as I remain Charlotte County’s Clerk of Court,” said Eaton. Staff members in October raised money during Breast Cancer Awareness Month and recently presented Suzanne Roberts, CEO of the Andes Clinic with a check for over $1,000
