Civil and Criminal Appeals

The Appeals department prepares and monitors cases being appealed. There are two types of appeals that can be filed.

  • County Court to Circuit Court (filing fees apply)
  • Circuit Court to the District Court of Appeals (filing fees apply)

A Notice to Appeal must be filed with the Clerk within (30) thirty days after the signing of the order you would like the Appeals court to review. The original Notice and a copy of the Order to be reviewed, along with the filing fee shall be filed with the Clerk. A sample for the Notice of Appeal can be found in the rules of Appellate Procedure, Rule 9.990(a)
